Principles and practices

Eight ideas AumniVIDA runs on, and the practice in the app that makes each one real.

Health data is personal, scattered and easy to misread. A lab printout from one clinic, a portal PDF from another, a ring that scores your sleep, a cuff on the shelf. A different system made each one, for a different purpose, and the person they describe is the only one who ever sees them together.

A health graph that brings them together has to settle three things in advance: who owns it, what it may claim, and how it behaves when something matters. These principles are those decisions. They are short because a principle that needs a page of caveats is a policy.

The principles

They follow the way AumniVIDA works: it converges your data, helps you understand it, lets you act on it, and shares it only as far as you choose.

  1. Your data is yours. It lives encrypted on your device. You can export it and you can delete it, and both actually happen.
  2. Sources over summaries. Every number links to the document, device or entry it came from. A summary you can check is a fact.
  3. Compare you with you. A new value means a great deal against your own history. The engine watches your baseline first and the population range second.
  4. Explain from your own data. The coach explains what your graph shows, what has moved and what in your graph relates to it. Diagnosis and treatment decisions stay with you and your clinician.
  5. Grade every claim. Every link between what you do and what you measure carries its evidence, and the engine calls a correlation a correlation.
  6. Science you can run. A protocol turns a framework into rules on your own data, and your own blood tests whether it works for you.
  7. You decide who sees what. You share on purpose, item by item and person by person. AumniVIDA records every access, and you revoke it at any time.
  8. Urgent readings come through. Quiet modes reduce noise, and a reading that crosses a safety threshold goes to the top every time.

The practices

Each principle has a practice that makes it real in the product. AumniVIDA encrypts the graph with a key the iPhone's Keychain holds. Every value carries its provenance. Insights compare against a personal baseline. You see every step the coach takes and the sources behind every answer. Every health measure carries a WCRF evidence grade, and every link needs 14 nights of data. Protocols cite their sources and score your week. Sharing has a permission list and a record of every access. Critical alerts pass every filter.
